Refashionista Sheri challenge

'This is confessions of a refashionista!'💕

Om onze eerste recyKleer challenge tot een "goed" einde te brengen gingen we op zoek naar tips, tricks en vooral ideetjes op sociale media. Zo kwamen we terecht op de instagrampagina van Sheri, een dame die verzot is op refashioned en pre-loved items.
Ze is niet de enige die aan refashioning doet, maar wat haar zo speciaal maakt is dat ze zeer origineel en creatief is en dat ze echt een eigen stijl heeft.
Sheri komt (althans op haar instagrampagina) over als een zeer vrolijke, sociale en enthousiaste dame. Als je een slechte dag hebt kan je altijd eens gaan kijken op haar pagina, glimlach verzekerd.

To bring our first refashioning challenge to a "good" end, we went looking for tips, tricks and especially ideas on social media. This is how we ended up on the instagram page of Sheri, a lady who loves refashioned and pre-loved items. She's not the only one who does refashioning, but what makes her so special is that she is very original,creative and she really has her own style.

Sheri seems (at least on her instagram page) a very cheerful, social and enthusiastic lady. If you have a bad day, have a look on her page, smile guaranteed.

Gezien we het niet ok vinden dat onze foto's zomaar te pas of te onpas door gelijk wie gebruikt worden, hebben we Sheri gecontacteerd om haar toestemming te vragen om haar foto's en haar naam te mogen gebruiken. Ze stemde gelukkig in, de challenge kon beginnen. 🙌

Since we don't want our photos to be uses inappropriately by anyone else either, we contacted Sheri to ask if we could use her photos and her name. Fortunately, she agreed, the challenge could begin.🙌

Regels voor de challenge: 

• Ieder kiest een outfit / foto  van Sheri als basis.
• De outfits moeten 2dehands zijn.
• Het moet zichtbaar zijn dat je iets namaakt , maar het moet geen exacte kopie zijn (kleur of model kan afwijken)
• De originele foto moet nagedaan worden met onze nieuwe outfits

Rules for the challenge:

• Everyone chooses an outfit / picture from Sheri.
• The outfits must be pre-loved.
• It must be visible that you are copying an outfit from Sheri, but it must not be an exact copy (color or model may differ)
• The original photo must be copied with our new outfits

En dan nu... de resultaten!

And now... the results!

Fie's restyled item: Shortened sleeves and skirt. The collar was removed and converted into a V-neck with use of 3 (original dress) buttons. The rushes of the collar were reused in the waist.

Nessie's refashioned dress: Sleeves removed and skirt shortened. use of Flexfoil to brighten up the skirt at the bottom and new rose gold snap fasteners. An extra nice detail, fake leather incorporated in the side seams.
